My father was a research veterinarian at the CFIA and my mother (one of few female veterinarians at the time) owned and operated a small animal clinic in Stittsville, ON. I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1994 and have an atypical career path. We share our home with an elderly Pomeranian, Pilot and 1 ¾ cats: Boo, my old boy from Peterborough and Bits, my three-legged rescue from Napanee. Over the years, I have come to enjoy the daily interactions with people and pets, with a particular interest in feline medicine. In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, gardening, travel and scuba diving.
